    Default Need some more advise

Now for the record this has nothing to do with me and this is not a "fishy" post. So please read everything then post you comments. A friend of mine has just brought a new glock and now he wants to get his LTCF. I think he said that in 2006 he was charged with burglary and a couple other charges. Now, he wasn't arrested and it wasn't until he was pulled over for a broken tail light that he found out about these charges. He went to court and all the charges were dismissed and the case closed. Now I've known this guy almost all of my 25 years on this earth and never known him to get ino trouble. Would those charges be cause for denile. Now remember he was never convicted only charged and this case and charges were dismissed. PLEASE try to stay on topic.

If he wasn't found guilty, I don't see it being an issue, but I'm neither a lawyer nor an expert.

However, if he's in Philly, you never know.

In philly, people as well as LEO's like to point the finger. A lot of people are charged and accused of crimes they didn't commit. When the charges and cases are dismissed does that mean that they shouldn't or can't get a LTCF.

Then the answer is the same as your previous thread. Both you and your friend have had encounters with the law. Nobody did time. You and your friend were both able to acquire firearms. If you are legit, I wish you luck on getting your LTCF, often a task in your end of the Commonwealth without the questionable history. But I have to tell you, I am starting to smell fish.

It's kinda hard in philly not to run into the law...but I did some of those things and was never convicted and all charges and cases were dismissed. Him on the other hand after hearing both sides of the story, who knows. No one seen him "break in". And I quote that because there's was no sign of forced entry, so who ever robbed the place had to have had a key. Which he did not have access to. The cops were called and he stayed there until they came, they took reports from both sides but they didn't arresst him. And the person who was "robbed" didn't show up in court after talking on the phone several times to the DA.

but I did some of those things
That's the kind of thing that's going to get you in trouble, and your LTCF either denied or revoked later on. Publicly admitting to having done questionable and/or illegal acts, convicted or not, is grounds for being barred from having a LTCF.

Just go and fill out the paperwork, What is it going to hurt??? Your are worrying way too much unless there is something you are not telling us??!!!
If you both get denied, Repeal it and see what happens then.
Simple, Get paperwork in by tomorrow, and then you will still have 2 months to wonder about what their answer will be!
