Bought me a Cali. gun

With all this Hi-Point hate going around, i felt the need to take some of the heat of the Hi-Point owners, so i went out and bought a gun with operator safety in mind, yes i bought a Phoenix Arms HP22A, all black of course, went out and put 150 rounds of cci sv with the help of my daughter, right out of the box no problems, went bang every time, and ejected every round.

Soooo, now you can leave the Hi-Point boys alone, and start to nit pic and hate on the HP22.

No reason to hate either. I have a hp22 and have always seen it suggested as a cheap 22 plinker. Im well over 8000 rounds in mine. No issues untill 1000 rounds at a time, then it needs cleaned. The spring that holds the mag in has started giving me trouble though. Just needs replaced. You can pull the mag right out. Doesnt affect shooting though.

From what i read, you should change out the recoil spring every 1500 rounds.

I like the gun, the only thing i need to get for now, is 2 mags with the extended base and do the mod to the safety.
