glock 35 blew apart
my glock 34 blew apart in my hand. I had only fired 60 rounds since i got a new trigger installed. Could this have had anything to do with the gun blowing up?

Which is it, a 34 or 35? Title says 35 your post says 34.

Re: glock 35 blew apart
If I were a betting man i'd bet it went down like this. You shot, it felt like it went off but didnt cycle for some reason. You racked the spent shell out and loaded a new round. BOOM, the gun exploded.
Am I right?
If so that means you got a squib load. Meaning that the powder in the round ( if there was any loaded in) did not fire, just the primer, creating enough pressure to expel the projectile from the casing and into the barrel... but not enough to make the bullet eject from the barrel. Also, there was not enough force to cycle the next round. Seems like a FTL because you heard it pop. You reload and shoot the stationary bullet that is lodged in the barrel causing catastrophic failure.
If not. Be aware of squib loads... if it sounds like just the primer fired and it did not cycle, CHECK YOUR BARREL!! or your gun might blow up leading to lost fingers, eyes, etc.“The right to bear arms is the last form of defense against tyranny. Not to hunt.” Ice-T

Re: glock 35 blew apart
Glock highly recommends against reloads. But the fact that it's in .40 makes the problem even worse. I don't know much about reloading, or even .40 at all. But as far as I know, the problem is .40 is very easy to accidentally over pressurize compared to other calibers while reloading. Most of Glock's kabooms are in their .40 pistols due to improper reloads.

Sorry about the gun, glad you are apparently OK.
