Started life as a Kimber Classic Custom I picked up cheap. Turned it over to my gunsmith for a little work.

    Novak fully adjustable night sights
Dlask trigger with 3.5 lb trigger job
    Ed Brown bobtail mainspring housing

Excellent! Congrats on your new iron! What is the purpose of the 45 deg cutout on the grip frame? Just curious...

From my understanding, it helps to conceal better. (Instead of having the sharp end of the grip against your garment, this provides a flatter surface and supposedly helps the pistol grip from printing as much)

Seeing that I CC a Para Ord 5", I can see where the bobtail could help.

I think it just makes it look cool though

    BTW, nice piece.

As the above poster stated, the bobtail makes for a more concealable package. I've carried a 1911 for 30 years; the bobtail mod is the single best modification for concealed carry.
