    Default Turkey's in the yard

Here are a few youtube vids of some of my local pet turkeys. ( not actually but they come from time to time).
I had just dumped a sunflower seed birdfeeder to clean it.
7 bearded birds came to eat. They left and a dozen to 15 hens came along. The bearded birds came back and was chasing the hens away.
My cat Rocky was checking all this as it was going on.
I forgot how to embed the vids so here are the links.
Let me know if they come up.

    You turkey hunters enjoy.

Cool vids. Years ago on the homestead that my wife was raised on the WILD turkeys would come down from the woods looking for a treat.

They would fly up to the one porch roof and look into the second floor windows. Then they would peck on the side porch storm door begging for food, or attention.

I have have gone out to them and given them bread while talking to them. A few would get a little feisty and get close while flapping but they never attacked. I took it as more of a warning. I never made any sudden movements and always kept my eyes on them.

Wild, but semi-housebroken birds. It was a neat experience.

Nice video. Good to see that they are surviving this crappy weather.

They are really stupid but funny to watch and tasty

I like it when they jump up on fence posts and then fall off. They'll be the first creature extinct when the SHTF

One of your turkeys got lost all the way over here on my side of the state.

Sadly the above photo was taken about a week before he got hit by a car. "Roscoe" lived around my neighborhood for a couple years. Turkeys are not common here in my suburban Philly area.

I was saddened when I heard he was hit by a car. Some knew him as Lucy. My brother has a few pictures we took a few weeks before he was killed.
