Today I took my neighbor to the range. He had never gone before, and wanted to learn the ins and outs.

I shot my S&W 41 mag and had my usual fun cranking off some loud and bright Remington 210 gr. JSP.

Then I hear a strange sound in the indoor range. Rat-tat-tat-tat. Rat-tat-tat-tat.

I walk over four lanes and see a man and a woman. The man was firing a rifle I couldn't identify. And it was SELECT FIRE. 2 and 3 round bursts.

I asked him afterward what rifle that was, and he said it was an H&K something (I cannot remember), and he said it was 'full auto'.

This was at Target World in Chalfont. I was surprised because I didn't know this indoor range permitted select fire/full auto rifles (they don't even allow 'rapid fire' with pistols). Also, I was surprised because NFA stamp holders are quite rare (so I hear).

Perhaps I'm naïve, but I never expected to hear/see a full auto at my local indoor range.
