Default Russian made .22lr steel case

I was given a couple boxes (50) of blue box Russian made "Junior" .22lr steel case. Any concerns with firing pin damage. I've read it is dirty, but does anyone have other thoughts?
    Thanks

    Firing pin damage?

I take a good price on a case (5K) of .22 if it was guaranteed to destroy my gun on the last shot.

Steel .22 cases??? WTF? Is everything in Russia as half assed as the hotel rooms for the Olympics?

I only asked since the firing pin was most likely made to strike brass and not steel. Since I only have about 100 rounds "I didn't want to destroy my gun on the last shot".

I shot a cases of it in the early-mid 90's when it was well under 1 cent a round. They don't import it any more.

Very dirty and lubed some type of oil (your fingers got dirty too).

But the steel case is very soft and will not hurt a tempered firing pin.......I wish I still had 10,000 more!

The steel is probably very soft and thin. For a 100 or so rounds I doubt you will have a problem.

Their toilet paper is steel too.

Hey, perhaps that's why AK is such a durable piece of weaponry... tough folks build and use tough guns.

I wouldn't hesitate to use in a "mainstream" gun like a Remmy or Ruger, but in a gun with VHTF parts, I wouldn't risk it.
All of my guns are lubed with BACON GREASE.

Come to think of it, all .22lr cases should be steel since nobody reloads it.
