    Default Remington's R51

Nice write up in Guns & Ammo. Has anyone seen one yet? If so, what do you think of it.

The article has me definately interested.

I see they are going to make it in .40 too. I really would like to see one in .357sig.

357sig would be incredible in that gun. You say that they are going to make a .40 S&W? If not Remington, then someone like Bar-Sto will make it.

For the price they have set for it and being made out of aluminum instead of plastic, this could be the design winner of the year.

Here's one from SHOT. It has no felt reset in the trigger. The slide is real easy to manipulate. It's not as small as it should be...think more of like a single stack Glock 19. You can fit it in your pocket, but it does feel and look silly in there. I don't know if I'm going to pick one up after I got it in my hands.

I think it looks a little ackward for some reason but if I find one in 40 for the msrp that's been shown with this gun I'll be owning one to try it out.

I am in the market for a small 9mm. I may have to give the R51 a good look.

I handled one today at the Outdoor show in Harrisburg. Remington had two separate display areas which both featured a bunch of R51's. I cycled one several times, and dry fired it many times. The trigger was light, and crisp. IMHO the gun is the right size, and does not feel chincy, nor too small to shoot. I think they have a winner.

What would you equate it to in terms of bulk? Not necessarily actual measurments but how bulky is it.
