Again, Welcome to Lancaster. The Lancaster Sheriff is pretty good, about getting it, although there's a couple of the guards that are idiots if you happen to be carrying a firearm to be checked or a pocket knife.

No idea yet. There don't seem to be many ranges where I can just walk in without a membership. Even back in California we could rent a lane for $20 for an afternoon, but I'm not sure where that exists around here.

And thank you all for the warm welcome, and the advice on concealed carry especially around Philadelphia. It always helps to look and be nondescript yet self-assured both for some police who don't understand the law as well as the criminals who are looking for soft targets.

The last time I was in, I had forgotten I was wearing steel toes, and apparently the guard there didn't think about it either. I just kept on setting off the alarm, and even when I wanted to take off my boots and give it a try he wants to just let me through.

Trop Gun Shop in Elizabethtown just opened their indoor range. $10/half hour.

Longtime lurker... Thought I'd add my two cents. Although after the government takes it for taxes I am only left with 1/2 a cent.....

Trop Gun Shop has a excellent range available I must agree. For $10.00 per half an hour its not so bad, especially if you bring everything instead of renting. Please note that if you use one of their toys you will also have to use their ammo.

They rent out glasses and eye protection as well.

I was there Saturday night with my son after 4pm and it was nice. Of the 12 positions available, only 5 were in use.
