    Default xd recoil spring assembly

hi everyone, I just got an xd pistol and i'm wondering if there is a way to disassemble the recoil spring assembly, is it captive, non-captive?, I really dont need to change the springs right now since the gun is brand new but the info will be needed in the future. thanks in advance.

Which one. The 4" service model is captive.
    Do not disassemble it.

yeah, it's the 4" model 9 mm bi-tone and if the assembly is captive that means I'm screwed because I dont think there is a site on the web where I could get one of those or, is there a place you guys know of where I can get one? the reason why I'm insisting on this matter is because i plan to use the gun a lot so sooner or later I'll need to change the recoil spring

that sounds like a plan, but won't they ask you to return the broken one?
