Re: How do they know how many firearms I have?
Oh yeah no doubt. There are collectors out there with far more than 600 guns. Nothing wrong with it.
But some in our government with their anti 2nd Amendment stance, they don't care. Anyone with a lot of guns is going to be a target and they'll try to entrap you or concoct whatever phony baloney they need to either to make an example of you to scare others or destroy you financially or in some similar fashion. We have a government now that is hostile to it's citizens and it's no more a matter of common sense and legitimately going after bad guys who do damage to society and it's citizens.

I only have one question for everyone. Does the OP have an 'arsenal'?

all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

I would say I have an arsenal; the OP has enough arms to take over many small nations.
I'll also guess he's not married and ain't gonna be anytime soon.

Re: How do they know how many firearms I have?
Just saw a deal on a crate of Mosins for $2500. Thinking of going in with a buddy and getting 2 crates on my C&R. That would be 40 guns in one purchase. Wonder if the Gestapo will be knocking at my door???
