Kahr K9
I had my heart set on the XD-Sub compact.......
Before I held the Kahr. It fits my hands perfectly, all the reviews I read are great. I want to know 2 things.
1. Does anyone STILL have one of these? It seems most people on the forum have newer models.
2. What are they going for locally? I can see the MSRP and a few internet places, but I want to know what the average gunshop price is.

Re: Kahr K9
DUDE you know you want it.
It's the perfect carry gun for you, but you have to factor in the package the XD comes with, and the "tacticality of the xd.
But personally I think you sould jump all over that kahr.

Re: Kahr K9
I know Anthony Arms has (or at least used to) have one for rent at their range.
Annie used to like to rent it back in the dark days before PAFOA and PMSC.
It was a range gun, pretty heavily used, I cant remeber what they quoted me on it price wise. You could call them and see if they still have it for rent and get a $$$ idea.

Have you shot one?
Doesnt soberbiker have one?

Re: Kahr K9
Just asking questions, I'm fully aware that I want it and that any advantages of the XD are moot compared to the comfort of the Kahr in my hand.
That's why I asked #1, he has a CW9, so do many other members. Nobody seems to have the K9 anymore.Last edited by Atomic Dog; May 26th, 2008 at 01:10 PM.

Re: Kahr K9
I was shootin my P9 this morning at Greater Pitt
Kahr makes a good pistol. The mags are a bit pricey at about $30 a hit.
SB has the CW9 which I am almost certain is the same size as the K9.
My P9 is the Covert model which has a shorter grip than the P or K 9.
If you ever want to give it a run , let me know.
Oh hell, just buy it. Then let me shoot it. Maybe I'll trade polymer for steel.
later, 27Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

My wife has the CW9, its a great gun.
Looks like the K9 is going for around 500 on gunbroker but I only see one of them up for sale... pretty rare

Re: Kahr K9
What do you want to know?
1. Yes I have one and my dad has one.
2. I bought mine used for 500 including 4 mags, it had all original paperwork and hard case.
few more things: depending on when it was made, some have a really crappy trigger, some have a much nicer "Elite" trigger. I really like mine. from what I have heard, the pm series may or may not have problems..... the k series are relaible as a politician lying.

Re: Kahr K9
I have an MK9 -- stainless steel, just like the K9. (I was seriously considering the Glock 26, until I got my hands on the MK). It fits my hand just fine, and disappears under a cover garment or into a pocket. My only complaint is the weight -- for such a small pistol, it is a bit heavy. But after a year, I would still buy it again, no regrets there. A friend has a CW9 and is quite satisfied with it. And you have to consider the coolness factor of having such a rare pistol....
According to the Kahr website, they're still making them. Also, I think this was the pistol John Shaft used in the 2000 remake....
IIRC, Anthony Arms has a P9 for rent.Last edited by Johannes_Paulsen; May 26th, 2008 at 02:01 PM.

Re: Kahr K9
Okay, I'm done pussyfooting around.
It's mine, just have to go pick it up when I get some free time. Trading a P32, the other is sold locally so it will be a nice, easy purchase for me....
