Default Not Impressed with the Offerings from Shot Show 2014

Usually, Shot Shot offers some new "toy" that I can't wait to get my hands on.

This year's offerings did nothing for me. I'm not interested in either Glock, and the R51 is not something I'd look to add to my collection.

The FN AR rifles have me a little intrigued as I'm always game for another AR, and FN makes quality firearms. However, I think it's a step back from their FS2000.

I'd love to have the Tavor 9 mm conversion kit. However, I'd need to get the $2000 for a Tavor before I realistically drool over the $800 conversion kit. So, that's not really on my list of realistic desires.

So, overall, there was really nothing that came out of this year's Shot Show that I want to get this year.

Maybe 2014 will be the year I buy a PPK or some other oldie but goodie model.

What are anyone else's thoughts on the wares released at Shot Show? What, if anything, are you looking to lay your hands on this year?

I think the Remington R51 is super cool...except that it's another NY friendly offering. Gun companies are going to appease us all into the hole of low round counts. Make a slim double stack R51 with 10+1 and I'd be all over it. I'm more and more moving away from wanting anything that holds under 10 rounds. It's simply not enough IMHO. The SR9c is a great example..it is awesomely slim for a double stack 9mm, not to mention its curved contours and good ergonomics.

I believe IWI will sell 9mm factory Tavor rifles once demand for the conversion are met.

    Boberg .45 looks quite nice.
    S&W 929 does too.

I keep looking for something that was like whoa dude! And nothing really innovative or interesting was put out there. 9mm Tavor kit, ok fine. Glock 42, uh ok whatever. The R51 sounds like it be a dog(funny how people will say they will buy something based on a few photos and PR releases). Sig tarted up their p250 debacle crappy pistol with some lipstick, a striker and boob implants and told us it was now the new greatest thing in the world. FN is putting out an AR, big friggen deal so has everyone else.

    Definitely a down year.

I'm waiting for the new EOTech battery compartments to hit the market. Visible red laser and Class I civilian legal IR laser running off the same batteries that power the HWS without the ridiculous looking mini-AN/PEQ looking thing like on the EOLAD? Yeah...me likey.

Give me more pistol offerings: 9mm, double stack, =/<1",10 round minimum. I'd love an M&P9c the same width as the sr9c.
