All Stag/Bone Grips for an SP101?
Hey folks,
Looking to get some all stag or bone (like Giraffe) grips for an Ruger SP101.
All I have found are grip panel inserts for the factory rubber grips.
There are also some great looking custom wood grips out there from makers like Badger. But I really had a vision for real all stag grips - not just the panels.
Not sure if the grip dimensions of the SP101 make this more difficult. Unlike the "full tang and backstrap" Smiths the Ruger grips require more material as they wrap around a bit of a "partial tang" with no back strap on the grip. Maybe this requires odd dimensions not found in the usual hunk of antler or bone?
But there's gotta be something big enough out there...
Anyone know any custom makers? Anyone here have the skills and materials?
Thanks for any advice.
