Re: Walther PPK
Ruger LC9? Slightly larger but, similar in profile.
rohrbaugh R9. Pricy but, even smaller than a ppk.
Could always go with a Makarov. 9mm Mak (9x18mm) is close in preformance to 9mm luger (9x19mm).
Are you looking for something similiar in size or profile? Size wise there are plenty of other options available.

Re: Walther PPK
Moving up to a 9x19 will mean design changes to handle the extra power. PPK is a blowback design, almost all 9mm designs are some variation on Browning's locked breech. It would be difficult to maintain the same profile. The PP series were designed to shoot 7.65 mm (.32ACP); then were rebored for 9mmn Kurz (9x17, or .380ACP), which it handles only marginally well IMO. Walther experimented with a blowback 9mm, the Modell 6, but it proved to be unreliable.
There are so many small 9s on the market today, you're bound to find something "close enough". My sub-compact 9 is a Walther PPS. It doesn't look or operate like a PPK but it's roughly the same size, it's 9x19, and it's a real Walther.-gonzo, SoCenPA. "Before all else, be armed." --Niccolo Machiavelli

Re: Walther PPK
If you want a PPK, get one in .32ACP. Excellent little pistol. IMO, the 380's are less reliable and worse on recoil.
If you would really like something of a similar size in 9mm, there are now plenty of single stack 9mm's out there that should work for what you're looking for.I forgot how much I missed the slang from the 70's and 80's: "Bite me, dig?"

Re: Walther PPK
I would caution against the HK model 4. It looks gorgeous, could be configured in four different calibers (.22-.380), but it used a plastic recoil pad to protect the alloy frame from damage from the steel slide that was unreliable and it is almost impossible to find new ones. I know this because I owned one.
