NRA Membership
I'm going to assume that most, if not all the folks on this site are NRA members. If you are not, don't you think you should be?

the membership fee is a very small fee to pay when it comes to defending your rights.

Re: NRA Membership
I think that every firearm owner should be an NRA member. I for one am a lifetime member. Most don't realize the the NRA is on the frontline in allowing us to own and carry any gun of any type.

Re: NRA Membership
I just recently joined. I've been planning on joining for a while but when they stepped in to block the nutter from enforcing his bs gun laws I had to get on the ball.

Re: NRA Membership
Cathy and I are members. I'm a certified basic pistol instructor.
NRA is not always as aggressive as I feel they should be in defendind the 2A, they are frequently too willing to compromise. Gun Owners of America is more "bulldogish," but when it comes to the organization the politicians know can get them voted out of office if they go to far (such as happened after the assault weapons ban,) it's the NRA they fear."Never give up, never surrender!" Re: NRA Membership
Ill agree on the aggressiveness issue, but at the same time I can see some sense to it. Blatant refusal to accept any compromise very quickly makes individuals and organizations look bad (read crazy/extremist/etc). So the NRA accepts some compromises in order to achieve a larger objective.
Do I agree with accpeting comprimises on my rights? No. Do I see the sensibility of it? Yes. Sadly, we live in a world where sometimes those comprimises are necessary. Enough education of the public and that'll change, until then we change what we can, accept what we can't, and look forward to the day when we no longer need to comprimise.

I am a Benefactor member. Like them or not, they are the first line of defense for 2A rights, and we would be much worse off without them.

Re: NRA Membership
I've been meaning to join for awhile now but for one reason or other kept putting it off. When I picked up my new PT1911 last week, there was an offer from Taurus for a free one year membership. I sent the paperwork in for it last Monday, so soon I will be a member.
