Interesting notice at the top of sgammo's website. All I can say is this is one more reason I am glad I do not live in NY. If I did live in NY I would be on a buying frenzy right now.

Attention New York State Customers: The deadline for placing an ammunition order at SGAmmo for delivery to NY state will be January 7th at 11pm CST in order to allow time for delivery by the 15th when the new laws go into effect and prohibits such transactions.

Midway USA is even refusing to ship ammo to FFL's in NY. They won't get any more business from me and I've ordered $500 bucks worth of reloading stuff recently and had planned to buy a lot more.

Don't blame Midway for not wanting to ship ammo to FFLs so the customer can pick it up. Just a big hassle when the FFL loses the ammo, puts it on the shelf by mistake and etc. Then Midway has to deal with the pissed off customer and make it right. The profit margin is not that high on ammo either. Be pissed at your state for the dumb fuck law they pushed through not the business that has to make a decision to keep their doors open.

Midway has been a straight up company to me and did not pull the bullshit some other companies did during the last panic. I will still buy from them.

The SAFE Act expressly forbids Internet sales of ammo to New Yorkers. With the other onerous requirements and all the open questions, they'd be fools to ship ammo to anyone there. Any sale of ammo in NY after 1/15 requires a background check -- and reporting of the sale to a database electronically accessible to the state police. Before long, you guys will be hunting with rocks and pointy sticks (if they're not banned).
