Yeah, I'm not sure the people there talking to have a coherent idea.

Sure, the NRA is “a valuable organization” that has worked hard to educate people about guns, Hoeber said. But the NRA has in recent years been consumed by “reactionary politics.”
Every time there's some mass shooting, we hear about nothing but reactionary politics coming from those that would ban firearms. The NRA is reacting to the reactionary politics of the left.

When was the last time liberalism depended on coherence? You have to look at it from the liberal perspective. They are convinced that the GOP takes it's marching orders from the NRA.

When you're a failure it helps to have an all powerful boogey man to blame it all on. The left can't do shit on gun control so naturally it's because there are supernatural evil forces that prevented it.

Just because someone disagrees with your personal views means that someone can't support the 2nd amendment? I support all of them, including the 1st.

Whoever wrote that article for The Blaze had a liberal perspective?

Wait - I think I get it. The Blaze just cribbed the entire thing from the sfgate article.

See, no need for coherence. I make a comment which is about something larger then the scope of the article and not directly related to the contents of the article and somehow the website that published the article is a relevant argument against my statement.

"“If I walk into a gun store with an Obama T-shirt — which I wouldn’t wear, because he’s too conservative — I don’t fit,” Democratic Party activist and Liberal Gun Club member Eric Wooten said."

...and here is a good reason why I moved to Gettysburg from Oakland. And a perfect example of just how looney things are getting. Too conservative? Maybe he'd prefer something a bit further to the left. Say, with a name like Adolf?

Hitler was a fascist, which is to the right of center[In his case, wayyyy right]. What you were referring to is a leftist like Joe Stalin. Pretty similar tactics, though!

“I have really strong feelings about my distaste for the state having the monopoly on force — and about my distrust of the police,” Hoeber said
    Sounds like us.

The group has also taken a stand against monetary disincentives to gun ownership, the San Francisco Chronicle noted, including taxes on ammunition. The group said taxes on ammo act as “class barriers,” preventing lower-income individuals from exercising their Second Amendment rights.
    Sounds like us.

The AK-47 is one of the most popular rifles in the world. As Hoeber noted, it’s “the rifle that turns peasants into rebels.”
    Sounds like us.

Most members of the Liberal Gun Club even think recent calls for expanded background checks on gun owners go too far.
    Sounds like us.

Maybe we're not that far apart.
