Concealed Carry Car Setups??
Don't know if this is the right place or not.
I want to see pictures of how people have their cars setup for concelaed carry.
I'm a bigger guy and don't have as much room as others, so I wanted to get some ideas.
I have a Ford Expedition with a full center console.

Re: Concealed Carry Car Setups??
When I get in my car, the gun on my belt becomes my car gun. I don't leave guns in cars.

Re: Concealed Carry Car Setups??
Vertical shoulder holster for my large frame revolver(s).
For my mouse gun, an inside coat or shirt pocket. Seatbelts and hip holsters don't work so well nor does placing a mouse gun in the front pants pocket.
I prefer to keep the firearm (or at least one of them if a BUG) on my person. Otherwise, an accident could separate one from the gun too easily. It might be as simple as a console or glove box becoming stuck due to trauma or the compartment door flying open during extreme forces.
ETA = Of course, a gun on person could also separate but I think that is less likely or at least, if you are separated from the vehicle, you have a chance of taking the firearm with you.Last edited by TaePo; December 26th, 2013 at 03:31 PM.

Re: Concealed Carry Car Setups??
You're post seems vague.
Are you referring to what people do with their gun once they get in their car? I'm assuming this is what you meant and not the leaving the gun in the car part.
I use this since I IWB carry and getting to my gun when strapped in by a seatbelt.

I'm thinking of getting a Blackhawk CQC car unit for the Rail. The seats in it are really tight and leave no room for a holstered gun. Even if there was room, drawing would be impossible.

Re: Concealed Carry Car Setups??
I always have my pistol on my belt. I just pull my shirt or cover garment over the lap part of the seatbelt.
I don't like the idea of always transferring the pistol when getting in or out of the car.FOAC Member, NRA Member
