Phila references

Hi I am about to go down to apply for my LTCF in Phila and I am being told that my references must be from Phila county that they can not be from say Bucks or Jenkintown or Bensalem. Is there any truth to this? Also I saw on this forum that it cost $25 but the paperwork I got from the police dept website say $20. Is there anyone on here from Philly that could help a newbie out it would be great. Thanx

You can use anyone who is not your family no matter where they live. I used a person from Long Island NY and one from Bucks county. Also I refused to fill out their recommended reference sheet. The law states that it is a one page application. You are not required to provide all the additional info on your references that they want. It's the law, they know it and they have to follow it.

It's $20 that's what it says on the forum you filled out and that's what I brought in the GPU.

NO, your refrences don't have to be from Philadelphia county. Some people have even listed refrences from other states. Some people have even not filled in the refrence sheets and still have been passed. Depends what you how much you want to fight and how much you want to go along.

P.S. One thing, don't listen to them about it being 45 business days. It's 45 calendar days and Capt. Helay will back this up.
