Good IWB holster for XD.45
I'm currently carrying my XD45 in a serpa holster on my strongside (right) hip. It works well in winter as I always wear a red plaid flannel jacket which hides it nicely. Once summer comes it's going to be an issue though as I'm not real comfortable with open carry in public. Last summer I got a leather IWB holster that used a metal belt clip and got frustrated with it very fast. The metal clip was junk and it got relegated to the bottom of the gun safe and I used the serpa but even with a big tee shirt it still printed (I'm a big guy, 6' 250 lbs so XXXL is one size above my normal shirts and hard to find so I have a limited number). I'd like to find something in either black leather or hybrid with 2 belt loops with positive retention that I can carry in the tilt forward "FBI" style carry.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Could also use suggestions on belt mag holders. I only have 1 extra mag now but plan on getting another.

I carry an XD9 in a Serpa most of the time. On the rare occasions that I conceal I carry in a Crossbreed. They have different kinds of belt hooks to can choose and different types on leather.
You can usually score a great deal on crossbreedseconds.com.

I carry a full size 1911 in a Galco summer comfort IWB holster. No cheap metal clips, a couple of snaps.

If you ever want to try a couple without straps:
I use a Remora https://www.remoraholsterstore.com
or a cheese holster king $20 Leather and metal clip iwb.

Both feel good with a full size XD45 (You can carry a Judge with the Holster King)Last edited by 357Boom; December 31st, 2013 at 12:59 PM.

I recommend the comptac MTAC hybrid holster. (I use the C-clips.) It easily conceals my XDm. I have two backs and an extra shell for a third firearm. This is a purchase I never regretted.

One nice option in leather is:
Gary Brommeland
From his website, photo of XD45:

I also have the service model. Love it.

I just ordered the Alien Gear holster and although I haven't received it yet the reviews are all outstanding. It may be worth a look and the price is the best out there.

Re: Good IWB holster for XD.45
Check out firearmholster.com. You can wear them iwb or owb with belt loops built in. The clips for iwb arent the greatest, but I've had no real issues with the several that I own, if you don't like them, other clips can be bought and put on. They have some positive retention, and a decent forward cant. Last I looked, they were about $40 shipped. You can choose color of the leather and stiching to personalize it. I've worn one for about 7-8 months every day and it looks brand new, has held up well.
Don't forget a quality belt as well, that makes a huge difference.
