I had fun. A lot more relaxed hunting squirrels than deer.

And where were you guys when I needed people to run the bears out of the swamps? Its hard to getyoung people involved in deer hunting especially ifyou sit all day inthe cold and see nothing. Your right about squirrel hunting and other small game, your always on the move.

Sounds like a good time! I've never gone squirrel well atleast not since I was a kid in the woods with a BB gun. I would really be interested in trying it out. You think I could get away with using my Hawk 18.5 barrel 12guage? I've used for deer hunting it's gotten me 3 doe in the past 3yrs.

I have been shooting squirrel with shotguns my entire life and have had a ton of success. A 12g with #6 shot high brass does the job perfectly...full choke preferred but not necessay...just helps with further shots.

Clark Kent was using his .22...that thing does some serious damage with its hollow point rounds. It actually does more damage then a 12 gauge.

I'll keep you in mind for next year. I'm tryin to get on thisone farm I know and it has lots of corn and swamp. The other place I'm watching is sgl where PPL is running new power lines, will give me access to more swamps. Have fun with the tree rats.
