Mumford Surgery and Me
Mumford surgery means that bone spurs that had developed on my collar bone were removed as well as the tip of the collar bone itself. I had this procedure on my right shoulder done several months ago. Although I have recovered most of my range of motion, I still have occasional weakness in my right arm and pain if I jar my right arm. As a result, there is no possibility of shooting long guns at the moment (even if I shifted handedness, I still don't trust my right arm to support the forearm adequately). So I shoot pistols left handed (I have always practiced weak hand/strong hand).
My question. I think that I want to make my left side stronger to at least become ambidexterous. Are there any coaches or OT people in the Delco area that specialize in this - especially for shooters?Know your audience. Don't try to sell a Prius at a Monster Truck Rally.
