Default S&W Owners - Trying to Locate Model 59 and 69 style magazines

I recently picked up a Marlin Camp 9 carbine (Marlin model 9) that uses either original Marlin mags, or S&W 5900/6900 9mm mags.

S&W Factory Model 69 magazines come in 10 or 12 round capacity and the curved finger rest bottom plate sits flush against the bottom of the Camp 9 mag well.

S&W Factory Model 59 mags are generally 15 or 17 round and protrude out of the mag well.

    Mec-Gar makes S&W Model 59 magazines that are 10, 15, 17 and 20 round capacity.

Does anyone have any suggestions for retailers that sell the S&W 59 series mags?

I'm mostly interested in the 17 rd mags.

I know it's been rough over the last year to find a lot of mags and most of the places that come up in searches are sold out of the 59 series mags.
I'd prefer factory S&W or Mec-Gar as opposed to ProMag.

I'm not having any luck finding 17 rounders, but did find the following.
Not sure if the prices are average or not, as I'm new to this particular mag.
    15 rd Mec Gar $29.99
    20 rd Mec Gar $44.99

If those prices don't seem WAY too high, I think I'll order a few, but thought I'd pick your brains to see if I can do better.

    Thanks!

Those prices are reasonable for MecGar. Try CDNN, you may be better calling them than trying their web site. Dave_n

Well, after several hours of searching, I located ONE other place with them in stock. As there are thousands of online sellers, I surely missed some, but I really didn't expect them to be this hard to find.

    15 rd MecGar $23
    17 rd MecGar $24
20 rd MecGar Out of Stock

I doubt I'll find better, but if anyone can think of a good mag source, I'm all ears.

Any chance on sharing where you found them so cheap? I've been looking for 59 series mags for a little while now as they work in my lh9 I picked up.

I just ordered four of the blued 17 rounders since they are not readily available. Might as well get them while I can.

    GregCoteLLC.com

Direct link to S&W 5900 mags.

Shipping is flat rate $6.95!!! Everywhere else I look shipping is $10 + just for a few mags.

Also, Keepshooting.com has their own brand for a decent price.
    http://www.keepshooting.com/s-w-mode...-magazine.html
    $21.75 Stainless Steel 15 rd
Buy 3 for $20.75 each and save 5%
Buy 7 for $19.75 each and save 10%

I've ordered from them in the past and have been pleased.
I have some of their "house brand" AR15 mags and they look identical in construction to most other AR mags I own from big name makers.

Not sure if this will still work, but if you order, try entering "REPEAT" when it asks if you have a coupon code - I received $5.37 off my order! (I googled coupon codes before I ordered)

Another place I found them, but prices/shipping is higher.

    Good luck! Hope that helps!

Greg is very good. I bought a number of different mags from him when he was in MD and not FL.

EM, did you ever try calling CDNN rather than just looking at their web site. I have found that a call will often work with them. Dave_n

No, I didn't have time to call. Busy day - had to get a bunch of leaf cleanups done for clients ahead of the approaching snowstorm!

Came home, uncovered the snowblower, and put the shovels, and salt in the truck.
Maybe the storm will provide me enough money to cover the mags I just ordered.

Emptymag - if by chance you come across an old "USA Magazines" made mag, stay the hell away from it.

I bought (3) of the 30rd mags for my 459 and Camp 9. They were jamamatics.. ..not jamming the action up, but jamming mid-stack within the magazine. Any more than 10rnds in it and the stack would bind up within the magazine and the spring wouldn't push them up to feed the gun.

USA Magazine is by far the worst mags I've ever bought. ...second place goes to Pro-Mag for their pieces of crap I bought for my Walther P99.

Yeah, I'm avoiding anything other than S&W and Mec-Gar.
Even ProMag seems hit or miss, so I'll stick to what is proven.

Heh. After more searching, I've located two obscure places that have Mec Gar 20 rounders for $33.48 (free ship over $99) and $27.99 (ship for 3 is $8.75 / 4 is $10)

Either way that comes to about $30 each shipped. Not bad.
