WTB SKS
I am looking for a SKS to start my collection of firearms. If anyone has one for sale privately let me know the price and maybe we can deal.

Re: WTB SKS
If you are willing to make a trip down to Green Lane, Pa.
My local shop always has a bunch on hand.
You will walk with one.
It is a great shop run by just one guy,the owner.
Probably 1hr. 45 from you.

Re: WTB SKS
As TCROC mentioned his favorite shop has one...as do most gun shops. They are pretty popular guns and if your not picky about which country it comes from or what style you can probably find one for a resonable price at nearly any shop. The Yugoslavians are popular now and I'm guessing you can find one (correct me if I'm wrong guys) in the $175 or less range.

Re: WTB SKS
No I'm not really picky as to what model it is or where it comes from. I just want a reliable SKS that I can take to the range and shoot. I might hafta take u guys up on the offer, I might call a gun shop that we have in the next town and see if they have any. I also am gonna try and make it to the gun show in harrisburg in March.

Re: WTB SKS
from what i heard the yugos are running low.....i think new or unissued will be about 180 and up, with cosmo still in it.....i bought mine bairly used for 100 so i was happy....but i wouldnt think theyd be any or much less than 175.....but they are still good guns and if u can find the gun, buy as much ammo as u can before the price goes up even more than it has just in the past couple of weeks

Re: WTB SKS
I made the "rounds" through a few gun stores today and also a little local Gun Show. Lowest SKS (asking) price was $139 for a Yugo with nice metal but beat up wood (great if you plan on changing the stock). A few other Yugos in the $169 to $199 range and a couple various SKS's with folding stocks/synthetic stocks and red dots or scopes for $279 to $329
