    Default S&W 500ES Survival Kit

Holy crap! Has anyone else seen this package?

    500ES

I shot a 500 for the first time last weekend and it was a violent experience. I'm not 100% sure I want to shoot one with a barrel that short.... but I'm going to order one anyway just in case...

Nahh I like my wrist attached at the end of my arm so I will skip a 500 with a tiny barrel

That's what I was shooting (8 3/8's) and I can only imagine what this thing will be like.

Maybe S&W is counting on the the adrenaline rush you'd have from coming face to face with a bear to help you shoot that stubby little thing.

I saw a stubby 454 in the gun store today. I found this 500ES package while looking for it online.

(the 454 was the Ruger Alaskan)

I have the same kit in .460. Already had a .500 with the 8ish" barrel. Was looking to get a .460 and when I saw the kit I just couldn't resist. It's heavy enough it's not that bad to shoot. I usually shoot .454 or .45LC through it though.
