Default smith and wesson shield loose ejector

I recently traded in a gun and picked up a 9mm shield. Finally took it out the other day and fired 100 flawless rounds of WWB 115gr. When cleaning and inspecting I noticed the ejector (not extractor) has a little play in it. Its very slight but I'm concerned bc I've never seen one on any of my other guns that did that. For other shield owners: is this normal? Can you check? I've contacted S&W and they recommend sending it in. Pain in the ass now..
Now less Glock, more H&K :)

Default Re: smith and wesson shield loose ejector

A slightly loose ejector doesn't sound normal to me, or let me say I don't want mine loose. If you told S&W it is loose and they want you to send it in, then it definitely doesn't sound normal. PITA it may be, I'd send it in unless you know how to correct the issue.

ETA - went looking out of curiosity and found this through the S&W forum. Go to 16 min. 50 sec. This dude's ejector is tight. I know as much about the S&W Shield as I do the space shuttle, but that ejector looks like it is pressed or staked in there.

BCM and Glock...for a bigger pile of 'cold dead hands' brass.
