I think there's nothing better than a pump-action .22, and yours is beautiful. My beat-up old Savage 29-B has a broken lifter spring and won't feed now. I hope I can fix it.

I just found the lifter spring that I need at Jack First Gun Parts. That's awesome that Jack makes parts for obsolete guns.

.22 Pumps are great guns for kids,(us big kids also). Still enjoying my Dads old Remmy 121 from 1936.

I picked up a Winchester 62A from my now late B-I-L. The S/N indicates the MFG date of 1947. My late B-I-L got it from his Uncle....who engraved his SS# in the tang!! I filed\sandpapered down the S\N number and using Birchwood Casey's browning solution and a pot of boiling water, got the tang to pretty much the patina on the rest of the receiver. The stock had so much grunge on it that once I cleaned it off there was zero finish on the wood. (I don't think the rifle saw a cleaning since 1948!!) I applied several coats of True-oil to protect the wood and make it look presentable. The odd thing is....the rifle shoots as good as any other 22LR rifle I have!!!

A couple of rainy days, so I decided to do some preventative maintenance, and wiped down several guns with oil so they may live for another hundred years.

While they were clean and shiny, I figured I would get some new photos.
