Not only is the Savage getting dinged and scratched, now it's also going to get (more) rusty!

    The horror!

Very nice. Are tube extensions available to increase capacity?

Perhaps a Glock torture test is in order?
Snow is melting - should have mud by tomorrow!

When these rifles were made, I think "high capacity" was a a concept still several decades into the future, so I highly doubt it.

Love the Savage. I have a 1914 model which is identical except it has an octagonal barrel. The advice you got not to take down the take down model is well taken. Mine comes apart easily enough, but putting it back together can take half an hour. The darn ejector has to be lined up just so, or it just won't go together.

Heh. I think I may have time to take it apart for cleaning tomorrow.
    Crossing my fingers.

I'm probably not tearing it down completely. Actually, I know I'm not - just down tho the major assemblies to where I can get the gunk off, scrub the bore, and get it all lubed up. (and ready to shoot!)

I never under stood all that--"If you play with it - you'll go blind" stuff growing up!
But now I see that it could cause a malfunction and you would most likely shoot your eye out!
