I've stopped there twice. I doubt I'll ever go back. Nuf Sed.

Please Note: The poster was issued an infraction for this post.

I have been to the Route 940 Gun Shop. The shop is stocked full of all types of guns. He has quality handguns from Smith & Wesson, Sig Sauer, Glock, FN, Springfield, Ruger, H&K, Kahr, etc. and all kinds of rifles from AR's to shotguns and hunting rifles. I have bought quite a few guns from him and his prices are the best around. I have been to all of the shops in the Poconos and he has always done right by me. He sells his guns for under MSRP and he is very knowledgable. I also received a free box of ammo with every gun I purchased. I thought that was cool since all the other shops charged more for their guns and didn't give me ammo for free.

The guy also does transfers for $25. I won a Gunbroker auction and had my gun shipped their.

Wow, I wonder if there's a staff member around to do an IP match?

If he sells guns below MSRP and gives away free ammo, how does he make money? The margin on new guns is thin enough that you sell cheap and give away ammo, you don't make a dime.

You've been there alright, because you appear to either work there, or own the place:

Good catch! Another reason not to go there.

Eastern Arms charges $30 for transfers, but from the tone of this thread and my positive experiences with Eastern Arms, it's worth paying the extra $5!
    ...and they have a plan...

Haha that was great. The owner also posts reviews of his shop on yellowpages under the user name Constable Murphy. If that one pops up on here that is him as well.
