Re: Split rock gun show -round discharged
Hmmm...I'm guessing that will be the end of Eagle Arms coming back to Split Rock for gun shows.

Re: Split rock gun show -round discharged
How does a loaded gun show up at a gun show? None of the guns on display are even close to begin loaded. Guns are checked at the door too. So what happened?

Dealers/vendors aren't always checked. Actually I'd guess that most times, they aren't checked. I've been at the front of the line at Oaks 4 times, and the LEOs don't show up to check weapons until about 10 minutes before the show opens. By that time all the vendors are inside and set-up.

Re: Split rock gun show -round discharged
It shouldn't be necessary to prohibit all loaded firearms from a gun show.
I have no problem, however, requiring that any firearm that is to be sold, purchased, needs a new holster or sights or is manipulated in any way is to be unloaded. But I know for certain that many people do not clear their CCW since they have no intention of removing it from their holster. And this I have no problem with either.
What is needed is multiple clearing stations in every corner of the room so it is convenient for people to safely unload and clear a firearm without needing to worm their way the whole way to the entrance. If safety isn't convenient, many will forego being safe out of laziness.
To be honest, the guy that zip tied my rifle at the entrance, IMO, didn't appear to be very familiar with manipulating something as commonplace as a lever action rifle.Sed ego sum homo indomitus
