Best range/club to join around mars?
In the spring I will be relocating to the mars area and will need a place to shoot. I currently just use the state game lands in Indiana, but the Wexford range is a nightmare so it will have to be somewhere private.
I am mostly interested in pistol and would like it to have a skeet range of some kind. Preferably no more than 20 min from Mars. Honestly I would also prefer somewhere where I was not forced to be very active in the club.
Any suggestions?

I shoot at Rochester Sportsmans, just over the Beaver County line. Might be on the upper end of you 20 minute drive, but it's a nice place with nice folks.

Re: Best range/club to join around mars?
I'm on the other side of Mars in the Valencia area. Just relocated here from Nashville area.
NRA Pistol Instructor, RSO etc. Looking for a place to shoot and help out. Any guidance and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.

There's a few places near Mars. The closet is Mars Rod and Gun Club. The next closet would be Northside in Warrendale. Then probably Millvale Sportsmen's Club in Wexford or Rochester in Freedom.

Good luck. Let us know if you apply to any of them an get in. I'm a member at Millvale and they have a 2+ year waitlist; not even accepting more right now. I've thought about joining Mars too since it's bit closer but I've never been clear on if they're accepting members and I've been too lazy to figure it out.

Re: Best range/club to join around mars?
It's a little bit of a drive from Mars, but the Summit Township Club outside Herman, PA is still accepting members. The member limit is going to be capped at 500 members and we're getting close to that number now. Here is a link to their site and if you want to talk about it, just PM me for my phone number. http://www.stsclub.org/

Just to let people know, Summit Sportsman Club has reached it's 500 member limit. You can still fill out a application and it will be put on file in order as received. If any present member quits or passes away, the next application in line will be admitted to the club.
