Cleaning up my 220 barrel
The barrel on my 220 was showing typical wear so i decided to just strip off the blueing and polish it up. I simply immersed the barrel in household vinegar for about twenty minutes and it was off. This surprised me as other brand pistol barrels usually soak for over an hour then still need a wire brush. I then dipped it in water and baking soda to neutralize the acid effect of the vinegar. After that I spent about ten minutes with Flitz metal polish and fine steel wool to bring it to a shine. Total project time.....about forty minutes. Not for everyone but its not everyones gun......its mine. What do you guys think? Thanks, Brian
