    Default VOTE!

Don't forget to vote on Tuesday.....after I've said that I realize that I don't know anything about the 2 Judges that are up for the Pa. Supreme court! I tried looking at the NRA's ratings but I couldn't get on. Anyone know anything about them?

Any thought from you guys on this question?
JUDICIAL RETENTION: The state's voters will be asked to indicate yes or no on the retention of four appellate judges whose terms are about to expire. Unless a majority objects, state Supreme Court Chief Justice Ronald Castille and Justice Max Baer and Superior Court judges Susan Gantman and Jack Panella will be awarded additional 10-year terms.

Sending a Message to the Judiciary

    http://www.pagunblog.com/
Unlike many states, Pennsylvania gun owners actually have a method to send a direct message to the judicial branch about their views on how judges might be doing at either upholding or uprooting our rights to keep and bear arms.

In fact, two Supreme Court justices are up for a retention vote tomorrow. One of them, Chief Justice Ron Castille, wrote the opinion that has opened the door to redefine Pennsylvania’s self-defense standard from one which requires the state to disprove a claim of self-defense beyond a reasonable doubt, to one where the defendant has to prove self-defense by a preponderance of the evidence. This would essentially shift the burden from the state to the defendant. If gun owners think this is a bad idea, then vote against retention

I have spoken at length to Vic Stabile. He is a TRUE conservative and a needed addition to the Superior Court. Gantman and Panella have been good to firearm owners, so I'll be voting to retain them.

I will NOT be voting to retain Chief Justice Castille (who will have to retire in 1 year anyway, based on mandatory retirement) and Justice Baer.

I have never spoken to Stabile, but I do find it a bit disconcerting that the Philadelphia Inquirer endorsed him. Doesn't this concern anyone else?
