    Default Charter Arms Age

I'm guessing 70's? Haven't found any good sources for CA dating? I was really happy picking this up for cheap - incredible original finish for a 40 something year old. Unfired or test fired only as far as I can see. A Stratford made gun. Really nice little piece - and purdy

The only guy that I know of that could have dated that gun passed away 1 year and 23 days ago. ...32 Magnum(Jim Hauff).

Your gun is a fabulous example though. I wouldn't mind having that in my collection.

Nicest finish I've ever seen on a CA of that peroid. I wonder if finish is aftermarket?

I checked it out pretty good and had a few others do the same and it looks unfired original. Dealer said it came from estate of a very picky gentleman with expensive safes and passionate about his firearms.

I do miss talking to Jim - especially about H&R's. Tx!
