Re: A hint of things to come???
Primers haven't been much of an issue of late. Even the Cabelas main store in Hamburg has been reasonably stocked.
Popular powders and projectiles have been scarce though."Disperse you Rebels! Damn you! Throw down your Arms and Disperse!" British Major Pitcairn at Lexington April 19, 1775

I've seen all size and brand of primers at the local stores, all limited to 100 or 500 per family per week.
At the gun shows you can buy all the wolf primers you can carry. I've been using them for 223 without a single failure. In America arms are free merchandise such that anyone who has the capital may make their houses into armories and their gardens into parks of artillery. - Ira Allen, 1796

Re: A hint of things to come???
plenty of pistol and small rifle primers locally. large rifle and match primers are a issue, not many to be had. just like the problem with certain ammo,s supplies still not keeping up with demand. I personally put back a reserve of 5,000 of each of the primers I use. this is over and above the current stock that I am pulling from. I figure this will cover my ass during any future lean times.

Re: A hint of things to come???
The Hamburg PA Cabelas has all of the primers and bullets your can fit in your cart. The entire shelf is stacked. I always pick up 2 boxes when I am there.
Powder is another matter entirely. I went from buying 1 or 2 to expanding my list of powders as one must buy what one can when it is in stock. Titegroup is my favorite but I have not seen that on the shelves for many months. So my list has expanded to 6 or so powders I now use.The USA is now a banana republic. Only without the bananas....or the Republic.

Hi Fred,
Nashville! Oh, yeah!
I can recommend two places:
- The Reloading bench in Mt Juliet and
- Guns & Leather in Hendersonville or Greenbrier (I hate the place, but if anyone has it, they do... the bastards)
I'd call Bass Pro too.

Re: A hint of things to come???
I haven't had much of an issue with primers lately, though they've been much pricer at Cabela's. My lgs doesn't have the same stock, but is much more reasonably priced.

Re: A hint of things to come???
i was at cabela's in hamburg on sunday (11/3) and they had CCI primers out the wazoo! shelves were full and they had overflow sitting under the reloading press display. Of course they raised the price ($39/k) so I passed on them.
The powder shelves on the other hand, looked like Mother Hubbard's cupboard...I want your vz.33
