    Default Armed Forces Day

The first Armed Forces Day was celebrated by parades, open houses, receptions and air shows. Armed Forces Day is celebrated annually on the third Saturday of May, and Armed Forces Week begins on the second Saturday of May and ends on the third Sunday of May. Because of their unique training schedules, National Guard and Reserve units may celebrate Armed Forces Day/Week over any period in May. The purpose of Armed Forces day is to honor Americans serving in the five services - the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard.
On that note, I'll start by honoring all of you here who have or currently serving and your loved ones and friends whom served. I'd like to thank every last one of you who have made the sacrafices.

On the back of this picture is written:
"Having a few on the 4th, this one is for you."

I raise my glass to all of you.

It is nice to see folks remember the troops. I'll also add my salute to all who have served and are serving us all today.

We just got a first year apprentice on our job.

While getting to know a bit about him, I asked if he had any military background to which he told me he had 6 years Army.

I thanked him for his service and would like to extend that thanks to all of you who also served.

I got to go twice. I wouldn't trade my experiences or the friends that I made there for the world.

My neighbor across the street is a WWII vet, wounded on D Day and again in the Battle of the Bulge. He is one of my heroes!
