Those bullpup stocks suck. I bought one to use with my Camp carbines. The trigger bar would get hung up occasionally, not to mention it made the trigger pull a bit mushy too. I ended up trading it at a gunshow in Corsica PA at the firehall for some milsurp 1911 magazines.

Although, it may have been just my individual stock that was crap. I've heard good and bad from other folks who bought them.

It is a shame Ruger discontinued these. I wonder if there is a thought of them bringing back a pistol caliber carbine in polymer somewhat like Berettas?

$75 doesn't seem too bad either.
That and a red dot scope? Rrrrrowwww...
If I had a vote it would be for the Boyds stock.

    I agree very sexy.

There's also an original Marlin stock available on Gunbroker for $75 + $20 shipping.

If I hadn't just put over $500 into the truck to pass inspection...

The old Marlin still sits in it's original configuration.
A Choate folding stock has been debated many times over the years, but I dunno - I sort of like it "old school".
That said, I may add a red dot. Maybe. The iron sights are dead on accurate, but it's getting harder to SEE them. Ha.
I can get a pic rail for $12 and mount it using the factory scope mount holes. Still thinking that one over.

Overall though, I still love this carbine.
Even though it's a bit rough with dings and scratches, it's definitely one of my favorite guns.

Anyway, with the good weather and overcast sky, it was a good time to get more pics of several guns, so...

I've been looking for one of these since you were kind enough to let me shoot yours at a group shoot.

I think one just popped up in the classifieds not long ago.
May have been a 45ACP though.

I always look at the listings when I see them, but they command a pretty high price any more.
I regret not posting what I paid for it. I want to say $400 - maybe $375... I can't remember now.
FTF Lowes parking lot transfer, so I don't have a record.

I've got grab-n-go mag pouches for several guns that could be used for home defense.
The more common stuff is easy to find commercially made pouches for, so AR/AK stuff was easy to buy.
I wasn't finding much in the way of pistol mag pouches that I liked, so I made one myself.

I took two Gerber large knife sheaths and tied them together back to back with paracord, then made paracord loops where I can clip a shoulder sling to.
Works great for carrying two additional 20 rd mags. Just throw it over your shoulder and go.
I keep something similar with any gun that has the potential for home defense.
    THIS is why.

WATCH the video interview where the man who stopped the shooter described what happened beginning to end.
I will never be without loaded magazines immediately at the ready - ever.

Thank you for reminding me how stupid I was to sell my Camp 9 and Camp 45.
