Re: Nov. 5
I was going to suggest adding elections to your title but you don't have enough posts to edit the title. Maybe a mod can do that. Most people are clueless and won't know the significance to Nov. 5.

I would also like to add to this thread.
Do we have a special election this year for PA Supreme Court?

Welcome to the forum J.D.
I'm unfamiliar with your district, but if you voted straight ticket, Republican, it's likely your selections would be pro 2A. You gotta do your homework though (internet) and check out the various candidate positions.
Uninformed voters need to stay away from the ballot box.

Re: Nov. 5 General Election - Allegheny County, PA
Hello all .. this may be of some help ...
For the original poster and those here from Allegheny County, start here to see your actual specific ballot in advance:
http://www.alleghenycounty.us/elect/index.aspx
Choose the link on the left titled:
" Check Polling Places, Sample Ballots, Verify Registration "
Enter your location information (leave the "Ward" selection as "All" if unsure).
Webpage will display your Polling Location and Ward if a City or Borough.
Click on the link marked "BALLOT".
You'll now be able to see the entire ballot for your specific polling location: State races, County races, Local races.
As far as researching Pro vs. Anti 2nd Amendment Candidates, you may wish to review:
FOAC (Firearms Owners Against Crime - a PA based group)
FOAC offers a Voter's Guide that you may wish to review, print out, and take to the polls for ease of reference.

NRA Political Victory Fund - Grades & Endorsements
(note: the map may take a few moments to load)
http://www.nrapvf.org/grades-endorsements.aspx
And don't forget to check some of the usual anti 2nd Amendment group websites, as anyone they hate you may really like
Lastly - thank you for voting AND actually doing some research in advance!
(I'm an elected official and law enforcement officer, I patrol multiple polling locations open to close. Based upon election results and the comments of folks outside after voting, you'd be amazed how many folks just vote the "straight ticket" (Dem., Repub., etc...) or just vote for the names they recognize from the media and leave all of the other races blank - no real advance research at all...)

Re: Nov. 5
J.D. : Welcome to the forum.
One of PA's most prominent 2nd Amendment grassroots organizations, Firearm Owners Against Crime (FOAC), publishes a state-wide election guide based on surveys they send out to all the candidate, interviews if possible, etc. I highly recommend you check their site for this year's voter's guide. Click on the link below, and on their home page is a map of the state, click where you live on the map and it'll being up the voter's guide for your area.
Hope it helps, and welcome again!
