Go to Dunhams and buy a WASR-10 hicap. There are threads about what you look for.

Looking for a quality one?
Buy a Tantal (this is 5.45) or Polish underfolder (this is 7.62) kit and build it on a Nodak spud receiver.

Go to www.gunbroker.com and get a feel for the prices of different AKs. Then go around to your local gun shops and see if you can find one for a good price. If not, buy one off of gunbroker

Best AK for the money you can buy right now would be a Yugo underfolder.

If you're going for a cheap AK to shoot cheap surplus 7.62x39 ammo, you may be running out of time and cheap surplus ammo..

if you're looking for an AK to shoot cheap surplus 5.45 ammo, you may be out of luck soon and not able to find any ammo..

all depends on what your goal is, really...

I'd say find a Yugo, they where 539. this weekend and will be 589. next weekend so you better hurry up and find one. They will do nothing but go up in price so it's not only a nice weapon to fire but it's also a sound investment.

I was just thinking something cheap to have fun with. What does Dunhams want for a wasr-10? The closest one is .5 hr from me.

Not sure if was a Hi-Cap or Low-Cap but I think they were around $300 when I saw them last about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Prices might vary from store to store.

I will probably call around and see what prices are but won't wait too long to decide. Should have decided several weeks ago, probably could have saved some $$.
