I fired this off to the Attorney General, What do you think?
In Pennsylvania, persons who are not prohibited by law from owning firearms may openly carry a handgun in plain sight with no license except when IN(emphasis added) vehicles, cities of the first class, and where prohibited specifically by statue. Ref: 18 PACS &6106, &6107, &6108. There are also two cases that specifically state that a person may carry a firearm openly: Commonwealth V. Ortiz, and Commonwealth V. Hawkins. Now my question to you Sir is as follows, If I am in my legal right to open carry with out a LTCF(License To Carry a Firearm), Is it legal and permissible to Open carry a handgun ON a motorcycle? I believe that the rules of open carry should apply to motorcycles where unlike in a vehicle, such as a car, a firearm is not as easily concealed. I am an upstanding citizen who rides a motorcycle and am curious about the law concerning the open carry of a firearm/handgun on a motorcycle without an LTCF. I'm sorry Sir but I just do not see a difference between open carrying on foot, and open carrying on a motorcycle if the firearm meets the requirements of open carry. You may wonder why I don't have an LTCF, or why I would chose to carry a gun. Well the truth is I am not yet old enough to obtain a LTCF, BUT old enough to own and posses my own legal firearm. There are more and more violent crimes occurring in our nation and each time they hit closer and closer to home, its a scary thought but who could be next? I CHOOSE to carry because ANYONE can end up a victim whether it is me or my family, or even yours, it could even happen to the neighbor down the street. Stay Safe. Respectfully, Jeremy Hamilton.

In my past experience with elected officials, I usually call them once a week to express my opinion about something . . . . LOL
Physical letters get the best response, phone calls next then emails. I always send letters when something important (like the national carry permit) comes up in legislation. I usually send one to the sponser of the bill as well thanking him for his effort and time as well as to our reps and senators expressing my opinionsHonesta Mors Turpi Vita Potior ~ 3%
