Thanks for the tip. Went to their store outside of Fleetwood today, and picked one up. I only tried a tri tip once before and needed stainless steel teeth to eat it. Nasty piece of meat. I since found out that it needs low and slow cooking, or hot, fast and rare. Will cook this one in my pit cooker at 250* till internal temp of 180* is reached, then foil wrap with some juice and cook till 210* internal for mothers day. This is how I cook brisket in competitions.
The Kornfeinds store is cool. They have over 20 flavors of seasoned ground beef. A variety of steak cuts marinated in their own recipe similar to black diamond steak. Several cuts of chicken in BBQ sauce or marinate.
I'm cooking one of the Delmonico steaks tonight.
If you are in the Fleetwood area, this would be worth it to stop in.
