Re: Tried to renew CCW permit...FAIL!!!
Yesterday arrived 0840. I was number 18 on the list. I was finished right before noon. Also several people ahead of me couldn't take it and left. What a waste of my day off!

Re: Tried to renew CCW permit...FAIL!!!
In some counties it takes up to 45 days to get a LTCF. In Philadelphia some good citizens cannot get one due to the character clause (being "irresponsible" for too many parking tickets, outstanding parking tickets, etc.).
Instead of your cup being half empty, you should consider it half full. You went in early in the day and by noon you had your renewal. If this was a waste of the day in your mind, remember the inconvenience of waiting for several hours (instead of possible 45 days) and don't go through all of this inconvenience to reapply in five years. I guess the situation depends on your priorities and how important your LTCF is to you personally.
I am sure there are a number of good citizens out there that would trade places with you to receive their LTCF in such a short time as opposed to waiting days or weeks (or being refused for some insignificant character issue).Last edited by chiefdjs; November 9th, 2013 at 06:57 PM.

Sounds like your county might need to move to a system where you submit one day and pick up when it's ready. Or mail your app in and pick it up once it's ready. That is how Allegheny does it. Took 7 days in a non election/tragedy year.

I wouldn't be too upset about it, in neighboring Monroe County you NEVER get it in less than 30 days - often longer than that.
