Default Chopping the grip of an SR9?

I have an Ruger SR9 that runs great. For CC, my problem isn't the barrel/slide length, but the length of the grip. I am considering cutting the grip down to match the SR9c's dimensions and using the SR9c's 10 rd mags. It'd be nice to have a bit more barrel and sight radius with a shorter frame/grip. Has anyone here done something similar? Pro's/con's, best tool to use?

Why not just trade for a SR9c or looking for a different platform. It seems like a waste to cut the SR9, and don't even think about selling it (maybe not now, but 15 years down the road....).

An SR9 C is till very accurate without the sight radius difference. Trade the SR9 for an SR9c
