    Default Another Idiotic Gun Buyback!

    http://www.philly.com/philly/news/227756891.html

Woo-hoo! Up to $200 for "assault rifles?" Gee, assault rifles cost thousands of dollars and you need $200 alone for the tax stamp + background check + find a Class III FFL just to obtain one. I just LOVE losing massive amounts of money!

They won't accept inoperable guns, so you can't even unload your scrap metal on them.

Are the buyers required to pass a background check?

Wow, what a great deal, pennies on the dollar, idiots !
On the other hand this is the place you may be able to pick up a good deal from someone turning in a gun

Hmmm...are the serial numbers of guns collected at these "no questions asked" trade ins run to see if any of them are reported as stolen? If they are, is there an attempt made to return the firearm to its rightful owner?

So, I could report a gun stolen, trade it in, get $200, then have them return the gun to me. Sure, it's filing a false police report, but how high on he priority list would it be once I reported that the gun was returned to me because someone turned it in at the "no questions asked" event.

I would never do this...especially now since the NSA and others are aware of this post.

Damm it, I will be in Mexico on Saturday. I always miss these things. I wonder if they have gun buybacks down in Mexico.

While you're down there, you could always get yourself an Obamagun. Unless you have to be part of a cartel to qualify for that entitlement.

They need to set up a flea market for those purchased.

At the Pittsburgh gun buyback last month, they were paying dollars on the penny, literally. I've never seen such a pile of crap. And the "assault rifles"? The only AR was a .22LR (although it looked black & scary on TV). The idiots didn't know an assault rifle from a pop gun, paying $250 for things like a Mosin Nagant with a bayonet. Their prize of the day was a broken SKS with some scary black plastic furniture.

I'm going to go set up a street stand outside the building offering $20 more per firearm. Just want to provide some healthy competition in the marketplace.

Eric Holder is personally giving away assault rifles in Mexico paid for by your tax dollars, therefore he owes you one or more!
