Default as i was about to leave Gander Mouantin

i went into G.M. today to lok at a pistol they ordered in for me to try, a Springfield G.I. hi capacity 1911, i have big hands and the 1911's dont fit me very well, no matter how badly i want one.

anyway it still didnt fit right so as i was walking around the corner of the case just browsing before i left, a guy and his daughter walk in with a pistol case and 2 boxes of ammo.
he says to the clerk " i hear you buy used guns" clerk responds yes and the guy starts telling him how its never been used let alone loaded, apparently his wife has a huge problem with guns and demanded it be removed .

it was a nice snubby revolver satin silver finish i didnt get the make. i was about to walk away as the teller said he couldn't buy the ammo from him , he said just take it i dont have a use for it, i stopped and said hey man let me pay you something for that ammo. i said you should at least get 10 or 20 bucks for it and as i walked around to him.

i reached into my pocket and i only had 1 dollar lol can you believe it? i said aww man im sorry i thought i had a $10 on me, he said just take it merry x-mas lol. i said are you sure and he insisted as his daughter was telling us all how upset mommy was about the gun .

i asked her age (9) and said thats how old my little girl was when i bought her her first rifle and taught her how to shoot.. and that i hoped her mommy would change her mind about guns as guns arent bad only some bad people in the world that use them.. the guy looked at me and said " thanks for trying but her mom will never change her way of thinking on that" i said thanks again for the ammo and walked away with a box of American Eagle 38 special ammo and a 20 rnd box of Federal hydro shock +P ammo.. nice

To choose between "HER" or the gun... I probably won't miss her that much. Nice catch with the ammo.

i didnt want to tell the guy what i thought about his wife's opinion or his lack of manly-ness in asserting his rights while his daughter was there.

I hope the wife never regrets not having a self defense gun in the house, for her husband and daughter's sake.

Boy I'm glad my wife use to love hunting and shooting as much as I did when she was alive. The only thing that got to me was the time she out shot me in the back yard

I've read about these "men" who allow others to make decisions for them... fascinating creatures but I wonder how well they walk upright with no spine?

    Great score on the ammo!

Poor guy... I have the opposite problem. My girlfriend shoots her rifle and her bow better than me because her father taught her how at a very young age. I had to teach myself once I was old enough to buy guns...
