Re: Need Help Finding 9mm Concealed carry pistol
I have never seen a sub $400 Shield, good luck with that especially if you are buying online (shipping + transfer fee).
The Bersa BP9 should fit your budget, the dimensions are about the same as the Shield & it probably has the best trigger out of everything listed.
I would recommend a slim single stack 9mm & a decent IWB holster over pocket carry.

A Shield is going to be at least $429, if you can find one. Last winter, the some of the local gun shops were marking it up to about $100 over MSRP.

What is wrong with the LC9 trigger? I have no idea how either of them shoot, so that's why I ask.
Lol, the shield was not on my initial list, for that very reason. I can consider adding the Bersa BP9. Have you had any experience shooting that piece?

+1 for the Bersa BP9cc. Great light trigger with short reset. I broke mine, but would consider another.....

Re: Need Help Finding 9mm Concealed carry pistol
I, like you, was originally looking for a single stack 9mm pocket pistol, but after a year of shopping and feeling out the triggers and operation of several of the models mentioned above, I found that the new Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro G2 has the best of all worlds for me.
It is only 3/32" wider than a single stack, and holds 12 rounds. The trigger is surprisingly smooth and easy for a double action, and yet it acts like a single action, with its short reset. It is 1/4" longer and 1/2" taller than a Ruger LC9. That extra 1/2" of grip gives you a full three finger hold for good control, which is why I like it better than the Shield. It is the same length as a Shield yet only 1/8" wider, and with that you get 5 more rounds.

It lists for $349, and that's what I've been seeing it selling for because of its popularity. I've been saving up to get one, and should be able to in a couple of months.ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ

Re: Need Help Finding 9mm Concealed carry pistol
The LC9 has a very long double action only trigger. I did not find it smooth or crisp. If you are considering purchasing this gun, I would suggest seeing if you can find a friend who has one or rent one somewhere to try it out. You may not have a problem with it. It was just something I did not like.
As for the trigger on the SR9c, it is very similar to a Glock trigger.
I will tell you, the SR9c is a double stack magazine while the LC9 is a single stack. Therefore, the SR9c is slightly wider, but not much.

How about a double tap in 9mm? Lite, very pocketable.

I've never heard anyone say a bad word about a Kahr. A close friend has the Kahr .40, which is on the same frame, and he loves it. Can use good or crappy ammo, easy for him to clean - he was not a gun guy.
