McAuliffe Pledges Colorado-Like Gun Control
Well, we'll see what Virginians are made of.....Gun Control and coal control...I would think he'd be thrown out on his ass....but low info voters are gonna kill us all.

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe's (D) website was updated Monday to show his commitment to bring Colorado-like gun control to the commonwealth.
In the section titled "Investing in Virginia's Urban Centers," TerryMcAuliffe.com now contains the heading, "Support Common Sense Gun Control Measures."
Under that heading, it says McAuliffe "will support mainstream and majority supported gun control measures like universal background checks, limiting the size of magazines, and a return to the 1-gun-per-month rule."
The limitation on magazine capacity is a Colorado-like gun control measure that will put law-abiding Virginians at a disadvantage the moment it is enacted. This is because criminals will not obey it but will keep their "high-capacity" magazines so they can outgun their victims.
Universal background checks will mean an end to private gun sales in the state of Virginia, as they did in Colorado. This happens because Virginians will have to get the government's permission, via a background check, in order to sell or buy a firearm.
In addition, the universal background check mechanism will allow a McAuliffe governorship to control how many guns Virginians can or cannot buy each month—thus the pledge to "return to the 1-gun-per-month rule."
Once similar gun control measures passed in Colorado, upset citizens successfully recalled two State Senators behind the legislation within months. Its easier to fool people than to convince them they've been fooled....Mark Twain

I like this statement "feral politicians" how true, they do go wild or get wild after being removed from reality for so long ,like feral dogs or cats .
an now we see the once domestic individual in his wild state running rampant in the city after being turned loose in politics abandoned by its family an left to fend for its self it in a dog eat dog world.

Virginia, like PA and many other states has turned or is turning BLUE. The DC cancer has spread to Northern VA, and elsewhere creating a government class that permeates politics with one objective, to GROW GOVERNMENT. Of course it is their best interest for personal gain, and job security. It is not only people employed by government agencies, it is their myriad of private sector subcontractors, consultants, defense companies, etc.

"Colorado-like gun control"
Isn't that where the Democrats sneak in more ineffective restrictions that have no effect whatsoever
on the violent ferals who live amongst us and then get recalled and sent home to whine about it?

Re: McAuliffe Pledges Colorado-Like Gun Control
Does VA have a recall procedure for their governor? If so, then CO-like gun control will beget CO-like recalls.
If this candidate has such a hardon for investing in urban centers, he needs to go for a walk in a 10 block radius around the state capitol building, around say 1900 or so, and see if he likes the city folk so much afterward. Richmond is a slum, and the North is DC part 2, but the rest of the state just wants to be left alone. Virginia suffers a lot of what PA does: the city runs the rest of the state, while the rest of the state pays for the city.
F him.

Re: McAuliffe Pledges Colorado-Like Gun Control
I was once stationed at Ft Eustis, VA and spent many summers visiting grandparents living in Hampton so I know a little bit about the demographics.
The Hampton Roads area has had a significant population boom over the last 20 years. Anyone driving through Hampton/Newport News/Norfolk/Chesapeake/VA Beach can tell you how congested it has become. With the population increase they have experienced a rise in gang and drug activity. Like many urban areas they are primarily a democratic minority population. Very much like Philadelphia, the area also carries the vote for state and presidential elections.
Although the majority of the state would likely be against additional gun control, do not be surprised at how much influence a small geographic area can have on the bigger picture.

VA does NOT have the recall process so they are stuck with him until next election
