loose gas checks
I was reading a post on another forum on loose GC and using lock tite to hold them in place so you could run them threw the Lube/Sizer, below was my solution to the problem.
I resonantly bought the RCBS 22-055 SP GC mold I cast up about 400 bullets. As I tried to GC them the Hornady GC would not stay on, I had a bottle of the Lee Liquid Alox. I dipped the bullet bases in the Lee lube and set the bullets in the check the next day the tacky Lee lube held the checks in place and I ran them threw my Lyman 450. After they went threw the 450 I checked and you could not pop the checks off with your thumbnail. I need to load and shoot some but the Lee lube seems to be a cheap easy fix.Last edited by hornady; September 21st, 2013 at 11:55 AM. Reason: spelling

Re: loose gas checks
If you find yourself using allot of Alox you may want to check out XLox. What I've used seems exactly the same, perhaps just a tad thicker.

Re: loose gas checks
Funny you mentioned White label lube I just put an order in to Glenn for more of his BAC. Great lube I use it in everything from 380 ACP to 3006. The Lee Alox has been lying around the bench for years. I thought about throwing it out a couple times glad I did not. Those little 22 checks can be a real pain if they don’t snap on.
