When you got close to nothing you have to make the best of it. These people will eventually blame child and spousal abuse, bad attitudes, maybe even halitosis on firearms.

These people can't keep marijuana out of the hands of school children. If they imagine that they can "get all guns under government control" then they're more likely to end prejudice, make everyone have an equal income, end poverty or many of the other Sisyphean tasks that some folks have set before themselves. Sisyphus never got that rock up the hill, and these people will never "get all guns under government control".

The government should take soluble and realistic goals upon themselves than this utopian non-sense. They'll seem more potent and reasonable, rather than Activist and ridiculous.

I was also shocked to hear this news from Barrys old neighborhood. Yahoo news was really pushing this story yesterday but it seems to have lost its steam rather quickly. I think Chicago and San Francisco are the only new outlets still covering it

At 10:15 thursday night I was in bed sleeping, because you know, I had work on Friday. If these folks had been home in bed like normal working adults, none of this would have happened. But instead, the blame goes on the inanimate gun.

The story calls it *military grade*. I don't know which militaries issue semiautomatic AK-47s to their soldiers. Was this gun any different from the handguns present in the waistbands of likely half of those in attendance?

The woman in the story with the staples in her face is funny. The 3 year old's grandmother couldn't be more than 30. Surprise.

Rahm Emmanuel, the mayor of Chicago, was in Washington, a city with 0 Chicago voters in it, raising campaign funds. That seems odd, since, as mentioned, no Chicago voters live in Washington. Do the people of Chicago like that their government is owned by residents of Washington? Feudalism?

This story isn't going to make Feinstein's radar. It doesn't fit any part of the agenda.

Also in the story, a Pastor threatened the lives and safety of the shooters and their family. Isn't that a crime?

The liberal governments make the project housing and failing public schools. The projects and failing public schools become the breeding grounds for these no good gangster thugs. Then these thugs cause 70 percent of the countries homicides any given year, and the liberal governemrnt has the NERVE to go after law abiding gun owners in this country.

I'd like to point out to them politicians who say 'this happens because of how many guns there are out there'; look around the rest of the USA. All the other counties, like the one I live in, have households upon households with firearms, and everyone else is able to behave themselves. How come its in the craphole cities run by liberal policies that people seem to be unable to be trusted with even a table knife, let alone the (illegal) guns they always seem to get.

Again, I tell you again!!! The real issue here is not guns!! The guns are what the politicians and the media are forcing the issue to be put "front and center." The REAL issue here is DRUGS!! It's the drugs that are the cause of the shootings. These shootings are not simply random acts. These are not just "hey, let's go find some guns just lying about and shoot somebody." These shootings are all about turf wars for the best spot to sell the most drugs that a gang can.

It's pretty simple. Toss aside the drugs and don't focus on that "real issue." Focus on the guns and never bring up the drugs.
